Mrs. Wasil Seminick Succumbs in Magee Hospital Saturday
Mrs. Mary Dano Seminick, 66, of 21 Locust Street, Muse, mother of Catcher Andy Seminick, of the Philadelphia Phillies, died in Magee Hospital, Pittsburgh, at 2:32 p. m., Saturday, April 29, after an illness of eight weeks.
She was born in Czechoslovakia Sept. 10, 1883, and had lived in Muse for 27 years. She was a member of St. John's Russian Orthodox Church, here.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Wasil, and son, Andy, are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Iski, of Detroit; Mrs. Mary Torsky, of Cedarville, Mich., and Mrs. Helen Moscheck, of Allen Park, Mich.; two sons, John, of Detroit, and Michael, of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Kranik, of North Braddock, Mrs. Eva Pituch, of Dickson City, and Mrs. Anna Prokipich, of Czechoslovakia, and a brother, John Dano, of Canonsburg. She also leaves 13 grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the late home, where funeral services will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Tuesday, followed by additional services at 9 a.m. in St. John's Russian Orthodox Church in charge of Rev. Nicholas A. Fedetz. Interment will be in Oak Spring Cemetery, John F. Yoney has charge of funeral arrangements.
