DIED.
In Alexandria, on Saturday, Dec. 31, 1870, Otis, child of R. B. and F. E. Oliver, aged three months.
Funeral services were held in the church on Sabbath afternoon , January 1st, 1871, by Rev. R. Everts, Pastor of the Congregational Church, attended by a large circle of sympathizing relations and friends.
Oh what is life? ‘tis like the flower
That blossoms once, is gone.
It flourishes its little hour
With all its beauty on.
Death comes and like the lovely day,
It casts the lovely flowers away.
