Mrs. Fidelia Oliver, aged 83 years and 11 months, passed away Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mildred Arvig, in this city.
Mrs. Oliver, a pioneer resident of this state, was born in Wisconsin. She moved to Minnesota and lived in the southern part of the state until after the Civil War. She was united in marriage to Robert B. Oliver in 1865 in Sauk Centre in the old stockade and in the spring moved to Douglas County. They moved to Cass County 42 years ago. She returned to this city with her daughter, Mrs. Arvig, five years ago from Pine River. For the past seven years she has made her home with Mrs. Arvig.
Mr. Oliver passed away 30 years ago. He was a minister, and his work took him and his wife into new fields where they pioneered in missionary work. She was a kindly and benevolent woman, honored and revered by all who knew her.
