Mr. Andrew Clark, a well-known and much respected citizen of the First district, died at his home in Marydel on Sunday morning last at nine o'clock. He was in poor health for a long time before his fatal illness, caused by dropsy. He was 71 years old in April last. Mr. Clark was a native of Delaware, but had resided in this county since 1866. He was twice married. His first wife was Miss Sallie Anne Wroten, of Delaware. She died sometime in the seventies. Some years thereafter Mr. Clark married Miss Sallie J. Thomas, who survives him. The children surviving are Mrs. Georgianna Stafford, of Marydel; Andrew Green Clark and Willard Herman Clark, living in California; Mrs. Gertrude Longfellow, near Greensboro, and John T. Clark, of Federalsburg. The funeral was held on Thursday morning last, Rev. E. R. Sidell, D. D., officiating. Interment took place at Greensboro Cemetery. Mr. Clark became a member of church over fifty years ago and was a faithful Christian.
