John Marshall Wehmeyer, age 94, of Mora, died Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp. Burial will follow in Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Veteran’s Honor Flight in care of the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp.

He is survived by: his wife, Leota Wehmeyer of Mora; a daughter, Patricia Barnes and her husband Jim of Mora; three sons, William Wehmeyer and his wife Sally of Stover, John Wehmeyer and his wife Connie of Sedalia, and Tracy Wehmeyer and his wife Leslie of Mora; a sister, Katherine Schuerman of Desoto; nine grandchildren, Rayme Wehmeyer, Quentin Wehmeyer, Shelly Martens, Terri Siegel, Jimmie Barnes, Amanda Brosch, Trenton Wehmeyer, Tucker Wehmeyer, and Trey Wehmeyer; and eleven great-grandchildren, Thatcher, McCoy, Quaid, Bryanna, Drake, Trevor, Sierra, Kaiti, Dusty, Bailey, and Kaci.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha Wehmeyer, five sisters, Willie Mae Schneider, Bernice Ficken, Bessie Rayl, Mable Chiles, and Eloise “Dolores” Morris, three brothers, Samuel Wehmeyer, Forest Wehmeyer, and William Wehmeyer, and a granddaughter, Tammy Sue Wehmeyer.
