Mable E. (Wehmeyer) Chiles, 85, of Sedalia, died on Friday, May 12, 2017.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia. Burial will follow at Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Fair View Nursing home to purchase a bench in memory of Mable.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Gerber and her husband Doyle of Sedalia and Carolyn Thomas and her husband Robert "Slim" of Houstonia; three grandchildren, Sally Beard and her husband Robert, Keith Thomas, and Ariel Thomas; five great grandchildren, Cristina, Samantha, Nicole, Kyle and Paige; a sister, Kathryn Schuerman of DeSota; and a brother, John Wehmeyer and his wife Leota of Mora.

In addition to her parents, William Frederick and Martha Francis (Sebree) Wehmeyer, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Bernice Ficken, Bessie Rayl, Willie Mae Schneider, and Delores Morris; three brothers, Forrest Wehmeyer, Sam Wehmeyer and Fred Wehmeyer.
