Lois Marie (Barnes) Warner was born in Walnut Ridge, AR on Dec 18, 1924. She was the 7th of 8 children of Sarah Estes and Edgar Barnes.

When she was a young girl her family moved to OK in a school bus during the Dust Bowl. She grew up on a farm in Willow, OK and graduated high school at Ocina.

As a young woman she moved to OKC with 2 sisters. She worked at Rector's Bookstore downtown. Marie married Harold "Joe" Warner in 1949. They had 3 daughters: Cathy, Debra and Donna. In 1954 they moved to Del City where they lived all of their married life. She was a homemaker, gardener, skilled seamstress and a devoted grandmother. She and Joe were both voracious readers who shared a love of hobbies. The family enjoyed sailing on Lake Hefner when the girls were in their teens.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ethel, Opal and Edith; brothers Boyce, Hubert and Carl. Her husband of 50 years passed away in 2000. She is survived by her younger brother, Darrell; daughters: Cathy (and Melvin) Fitzhugh and sons, Rob and Spencer; Debra (and Roy) Midkiff and daughter, Lauren; Donna Cline and sons, Morgan, Eric and Henry.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the above or Free to Live Animal Sanctuary.
