Edith Alpha Williams, 78, died Sept 29, 1998, at her home in Edmond. She was born Sept 21, 1920, in Agnos, AR to Edgar L. and Sarah Barnes.

Edith worked many years in the Public Service Dept. of Bethany 1st National Bank, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, N.W. 16th and MacArthur, OKC. Friends and family alike will always remember Edith for her funny stories and good humor.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Boyce and Hubert Barnes.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Williams; daughter, Teresa Gayle Lynn and husband Earl; granddaughter, Megan Hutchinson; grandson, Matthew Hutchinson; sister, Ethel Smith, Opal Mooney and husband Otis Marie Warner and husband Joe; sister-in-law, Mildred Barnes, all of the metropolitan area; also sister-in-law, Rowena Williams, Houston, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2 pm Friday, Oct 2, 1998, at Gene Adams Funeral Chapel, with interment at Bethany Cemetery. Gene Addams Funeral Services.
