SERVED WITH 205TH PA INFANTRY REGIMENT DURING THE CIVIL WAR. HUSBAND OF MARY.

New Oxford Item 22 May 1891 --- Death: May 15, at York, very suddenly, from cerebral apoplexy, Mr. Joseph A. Eckenrode, formerly of Mount Pleasant township, age 62 years and seven months. Deceased was a brother of Mrs. Jacob Smith, of near this place, and served in the Union Army during the late war. His remains were interred in the Bonneauville cemetery Sunday morning.
