Mrs. Josephine (Klunk) Sneeringer, 74, wife of Clement Sneeringer, 229 North street, McSherrystown, died suddenly Friday afternoon from a heart attack.
Mrs. Sneeringer had been under the care of a physician. She went upstairs Friday afternoon to wash her hair. She became ill and called a member of the family. Death followed shortly afterward.
She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Eckenrode.
* Josephine married John Klunk on Dec 21, 1887; then, as a widow, she married Clement on Aug 20, 1928, both in York.
Surviving are her husband; two children, Mrs. Ivan (Bernadette) Inners, York, and Charles G. Klunk, York; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Susanne Ackerman, McSherrystown; Mrs. Rose B. Beitzel, McSherrystown; Joseph Eckenrode, York; Mrs. Sarah Wire, York; Mrs. Lucy Daron, York; Urban Eckenrode, Baltimore, and Henry Eckenroade, Wyoming.
Funeral services Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock with a solemn high Mass in St. Mary's Catholic church, McSherrystown, the Rev. F.X. Feeser, rector, will officiate. Interment in St. Patrick's cemetery, York.
