Born in Leachville, Arkansas the son of the late William Sylvester and Evie Davis Brandon and had been a lifelong Leachville area resident.
He was a retired restaurant owner having owned and operated several establishments over the years including, the former Brandon's Do-nut Shop in Leachville, Jessie's Do-nut Shop in Paragould and Brandon's Log Cabin of Manila. He had attended the First Assembly of God in Leachville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Chris Brandon and Darrel Brandon, a granddaughter, Tonya Brandon, four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Wanda May Ladd Brandon of the home; son, LaDale Brandon of Leachville; daughter, Teresa Regina Dawson of Leachville; two brothers, Norman and Leon Brandon, both of Gassville; and two sisters, Shirley Taylor of Jonesboro and Joyce Bost of Cardwell, Mo. He also leaves seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Leachville with burial in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.
