William Brown, who for many years operated a farm at Argyle before he retired 11 years ago to make his home in Rockford, died Thursday morning at 5:25 o'clock at his home, 218 Sheridan avenue. He had been in failing health for several years.
He was born on a farm in Argyle 74 years ago. He was a member of the Presbyerian church at Willow Creek and later at Rockford.
Beside the widow, Mrs. Agnes Brown and a son, Edward, residing at Argyle, Mr. Brown leaves three grandchildren, William, Hubert and Coralie Brown, and four sisters, Mrs. Janet Harvey, Belvidere; Mrs. Mary Kelley, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs.Ellen Ralston, and Miss Susie Brown, all of Rockford, Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
