Services for Eunice Nellie Dewey, 710 North Fourth, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, in a chapel of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Williams, pastor of Park View Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn.
Mrs. Dewey, a long-time resident of De Soto, died June 28, 1979, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 27, 1895, at Portland, Mo., and was a daughter of Asa and Hermena Matteson.
Her husband was Roy Everett Dewey, a retired postal clerk, who died July 11, 1965. They were married in 1929.
She is survived by a step-son, Waldo Dewey, local recorder of weather data for De Soto whose reports appear weekly in The De Soto Press; a sister, Anna M. Werner, St. Louis; four half-brothers, and one half-sister; one granddaughter, Mrs. Robert (Iva) Christopher, De Soto, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
