Memphis, TN - Mary Ann Hutcherson Odom, 83, passed away following an extended illness. She was a charter member of Wells Station Baptist Church and a former member of Prescott Memorial Baptist Church, where her fried chicken was a renowned delicacy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Letty Hutcherson; her husband, James H. Odom; her children, Susan Klyce Grist and Mark Klyce; and her 5 brothers and only sister. She is survived by her granddaughter Amanda Hadfield and great granddaughter Scotlyn Griger along with a daughter-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews, several sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law, No services will be held immediately, as she donated her body to The UT Health Sciences Center; however, her family will receive visitors on her birthday, August 13, from 2-5 p.m. at the home of her niece and nephew, Mike and Cindy Riggins, 3875 Lost Shadows Cove Memphis, Tn. 38128. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be sent to The Church Health Center (Published in The Commercial Appeal on Aug. 12, 2017)
