Married William Faulkner Harper, 28 Nov 1878, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah
Children - Ellen Grace Harper, Richard Samuel Harper, William Faulkner Harper, Archie John Harper, Joseph Hill Harper, Ruby Matilda Harper, Earl Seaford Harper
Obituary - Mrs. Janette Harper, wife of William Harper, died at Smithfield, Utah, on December 31 at 5 minutes past 2 o'clock in the morning. She died in childbed, having given birth to a boy babe, which is doing quite well. Sister Harper was highly respected by all who knew her. Her mother, who resides in Rexburg, Idaho, was telegraphed for in due time, but from a delay in the dispatch reaching Rexburg as soon as was desired, the mother did not reach Smithfield until after her daughter's death.
The funeral services took place at the Smithfield Tabernacle at noon on Monday. A large attendance of sympathizing citizens were in attendance.
The community feels a deep sympathy for the bereaved husband, from the fact that about two years ago his two boys were drowned. On the 11th of October his mother died and on the 13th of November 1891 his father, Richard Harper, a highly respected and useful citizen dropped dead, as was supposed from heart disease. Four children are now left to his care. The drowning of their two promising boys was a blow so severe that the parents were plunged into the deepest grief, and this circumstance, no doubt, militated against the recovery of the deceased wife and mother.
