Surviving are one daughter, Sandra (Charles) Moore; one brother, Roy (Nina) Merrill; one sister, Marjorie Nielsen; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She moved with her husband to Albuquerque, N.M., in 1947, then to Gallup, where they managed the Thunderbird Hotel. They then moved to Grants, where they opened Grants Auto Electric. Mabel was office manager until the business was sold in 1964. The couple later moved to Bluewater Lake, and Mable drove a school bus for 17 years until retiring.
