Marjorie was a daughter of Earl and Naomi Hart Merrill. She married J. Price Nielsen on March 7, 1941, in Keokuk, Iowa. He died Nov. 2, 1976.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Lloyd Merrill; and three sisters, Mabel Mendenhall, Nelda Day and Helen Danner.
Surviving are three daughters, Vallerie (Al) Mance, Mardeen (Randall) Snowden and Wendy (Martin) Danner; two sons, Jeff and Kerry (Rebecca); one brother, Roy Lee Merrill; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She worked at the Vermont Public Library 15 years.
