Pebble Jean Beckham Bennett, 90, of Harrison, AR, passed away peacefully Friday, July 21, 2017.

The daughter of Garland and Ida (Curtis) Beckham was born August 16, 1926 in Walnut, AR.

Peb was a graduate of Deer High School. She married Rex Bennett on May 4, 1944. They were married 64 years before he died December 22, 2008. Peb previously lived in Kansas City, MO, where she raised her family and pursued her career as Director of Marketing at Sertoma National Headquarters. She and her husband Rex later retired to Jasper. Peb participated in EHC and Quilter’s Club and served on the local water and fair boards. She and her husband were active members in the Presbyterian Church in Kansas City and Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson Mark Bennett; her sister Pauline Ramsey; and three brothers, Bill, John Norman, and Berry Beckham.

She is survived by her sons Rex Bennett, JR (Kay) of Rogers, AR, and David Bruce Bennett (Donna) of Kansas City, Kansas; her five grandchildren: Greg, Jeremy, and Connor Bennett, Carrie Renfrow, and Steve Lyon. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Harrison, AR, July 31, 11:00 AM.
