Mary died of dropsy at her daughter's Mrs. H.A. Remley in Yountville, CA at the age of 53 years.
She had resided at Nevada City to within six weeks ago, and was the sister of Chas. E. Markham of San Jose.
Besides Mrs. Remley, her children are Mrs. C. H. Hewitt of Sacramento and C. A. Carlton of Los Angeles.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at Yountville.
