Obituary. PORTREY. Last Monday morning about 11 o'clock, Mrs. Charles Portrey died after a few weeks illness leaving a husband and an infant child. The remains were brought to the depot Tuesday and taken on train for Arrington, a few miles east of Holton, from which place they were removed to the Muscotah cemetery for burial. Mrs. Portrey was born and raised near Muscotah, and at the time of her death was about 23 years of age, and had been married only about one year, her maiden name being Fasenacht. Her father and sister were present at the time of her death, leaving for home in the afternoon, taking with them the little babe, to make preparations for the funeral.
