Obituary:
Mrs. Maila B. Mock died at her home 1019 Washington Street, Thursday at half past twelve o'clock, after an illness of several months. She was born in Orbisonia and was a daughter of Thomas B. and Amanda Briggs, both deceased. Mrs. Mock has been an invalid for nine years, suffering from rheumatism and has been very patient and uncomplaining with those who care for her. Mrs. Mock was a kind and loving wife and mother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The deceased has lived thirty years of her life in Huntingdon. Mrs. Mock was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church and was an upright Christian woman. She was united in marriage February 19, 1896, to John A. Mock who survives here with two daughters and one son, Blanche, wife of Warren Houser of Altoona, Pa.; Ethel, wife of Paul Yocum, of Huntingdon, and Denny at home; she is also survived by three brothers, Ira and Robert M. Briggs, both of Altoona, and Jesse Briggs of Burnt Cabins; also seven grandchildren. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at half past two o'clock at Brown's Mortuary. Services by her pastor, Rev. O. B. Poulson. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
