Fonda Conley, 69, of Airport Road, Sutton, WV went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 24, 2017. Fonda was born on December 25, 1947 in Sutton, WV to the late Harry 'Mitch' Allen and Lorraine 'Stack' (Conley) Allen.

She was proceeded in death by her sisters, Betty Jo (Allen) Gross and Patty Ann Allen, and one brother, John Rodney 'Moe' Allen.

She left behind a loving husband of fifty years, Russell Denton Conley and two children, Rob Conley of Mt Nebo, WV and Dena Renea Mitchell and (Robert) of Gassaway, WV. Fonda also left behind five loving grandchildren: Logan Suzanne Cooper of Artie, WV, Emily Kaitlin Conley, Allie Breann Conley, and Ian Russell Conley all of Gassaway, and Ryan Alden Wayne Mitchell of Frametown, WV.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Wanda Buckhannon (Alva) of Burnsville, WV, Linda Helmick of Sutton, Nancy Ratliff (Samuel) of VA, Harry Allen of Orlando, WV, Jerry Allen (Suzie) of Burnsville, WV, Edna Shaffer (Alford) of Bruceton Mills, WV, Lois 'Diane' Heater of Flatwoods, WV, Janet Gibson (Robert) of Heaters, WV, and Brenda Tinney (Curtis) of Gem, WV along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Fonda left her home in WV at the young age of sixteen to work in Cleveland, OH to help support her younger brothers and sisters. While in Cleveland, she met, and married, her loving husband Russell. After several years there and the birth of their two children, they moved to KY and then back to her home state of WV.

Fonda was a hardworking, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent several years employed at the Sutton Shoe Factory before its closure. Then she became a full-time homemaker. She was an outgoing, energetic, and full of life individual who enjoyed bluegrass music and dancing. She took pride in keeping an immaculate home and taking excellent care of her many flowers. Through and through she was a passionate Mountaineer football and basketball fan, but above all, she loved spending time with her family at get-togethers on her patio.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 5-8 pm, and the funeral services will be held Thursday June 29, 2017 at 1 pm, both at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Drive Flatwoods, WV, with Pastor Delmas Singleton officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens.
