Alfred H. Slack, 86, of Elizabeth, passed away June 22, 2017, at Parkersburg Care Center.
He was born Sept. 1, 1930, in Wirt County, the son of John and Mary Summerfield Slack. He enjoyed riding his bike. In later years. In later years, enjoyed painting and his daily walk to the restaurant.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Brooks and Austin Slack; and five sisters, Hazel Moore, Ada Wilson, Hallie Hencking [Hallie Mae Henking was a step-sister, the daughter of John and his first wife, Phebe Belle Summers], Alma Flesher, and Erpha Amos. [Also sister Wanda Meeks]
Services noon Saturday at the Matheny Whited Funeral Home, Elizabeth with Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating. Interment Palestine Cemetery Thorn Addition.
