Carrie Kaalstad Noorda, age 90, passed away peacefully June 19, 1993, in Salt Lake City.
Born December 6, 1902, in Oslo, Norway, to Nileus and Hedda Andreasen Kaalstad. She married Henry John Noorda on August 16, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he preceded her in death on December 27, 1978. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities, including a building mission with her husband in Brazil.
A very special mother, grandmother and friend, who was a light to us all, and will be thought of fondly... till we meet again.
Survived by three sons, Grant, Neil and Duane Noorda; a daughter, Dianne Elges; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 24 at 1 p.m., at the East Mill Creek 7th Ward, 3408 East Celeste Way (3435 South), where friends may call for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
