Matilde Arrendondo, 84, of El Campo, passed away on Sept. 28, 2009. She was born on Oct. 21, 1924 in Sinton to the late Juan and Maria Pena Hansen De Los Santos Coy.
She is survived by her daughters, Olga Arrendondo of El Campo, Elva A. Trevino of Kingsville, and Nelda A. Vallejo of El Campo; sons, Bart Arrendondo and Juan Arrendondo, both of El Campo; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilaria Benavidez of El Campo and Demetria Cisneros of California; and brothers, Joe Coy of Fulshear, Lionel Coy of El Campo, and Romero Coy of Baytown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rufino Arrendondo; sisters, Hermina Camarillo, Enriqueta Saucedo, and Maria Coy; and brothers, Guadalupe and Manuel Coy.
Visitation will begin at noon today, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
