Pekin, IL - Sarah Adeline (Friend) McCaulley, 76, of No. 5 Joseph Court, Pekin, IL, died at 4:30 this morning in St. Francis Hospital, Peoria, IL.

Mrs. McCaulley was injured in an auto accident last Thursday evening on Main Street in Morton, IL.

Born November 1, 1900 in Chandlerville, IL, a daughter of Charles "Frank" and Lilly Ray Friend, she married John Henry McCaulley December 3, 1918 in Chandlerville, IL. He died in 1955.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Alsace "Lorraine") Blanch of Peoria, IL; Mrs. Ethel "Juanita" Oest of Pekin, IL; Mrs. John (Marjorie "Darlene") Hess of Moberly, MO; two sons, John Sewell (Ollie) of Peoria, IL; Richard W. (Jeanette) of Peoria Heights, IL; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. One son, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Mrs. McCaulley was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church at Chandlerville, IL.

She lived at the Pekin address with a granddaughter, Mrs. Sharyn Cochran.

Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Chandlerville, IL.

Services were held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL. Rev. Verne Gerdes officiated. Pall Bearers were Ronnie Cook, John Cook, Jack Defreitas, Jake Defreitas, Gene Williams and Robert Blanch, Jr.
