Mrs. Helen Burbey, 76, 342 Jackson St., Oconto, died Friday evening at a Green Bay hospital after a long illness. Born Aug. 12, 1906 in Wausaukee, the former Helen Fercy of Newald married Leo Burbey on Jan. 25, 1921 in Lena. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1972. Mrs. Burbey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Oconto Golden Agers, and a past member of the Oconto V.F.W. Auxiliary. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. John (LaVeme) Eadus, Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Willard (Geraldine) Wessley, Green Bay; Mrs. Floyd (Arlene) Roose, Crivitz; Mrs. Roland (Marilyn) Weigelt, Pensaukee; Mrs. William (Clarice) Johnson, Oconto; four sons, Leo, Arcadia, Calif.; Robert, Columbus, Ohio; Gerald, Green Bay; Kenneth, Oconto; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard. Friends may call at the Crooks Funeral Home, Oconto, from 2 to 9 this evening. Prayer service 8 tonight. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Martin Fox officiating. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
