Leo J. Burbey, 79, 342 Jackson St., Oconto, died Sunday evening at the Veterans Hospital, Tomah, after a long Illness. Born In the Town of Little River Jan. 25, 1892, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burbey of Little River married Helen Fercy of Newald Jan. 25, 1921. Mr. Burbey, a farmer and mason contractor by trade, served In World War I on five fronts. Survivors are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. John (La Verne) Eadus, Eaton Town, N.J.; Mrs. Willard (Geraldine) Wessley, Mrs. Arlene Des Jar-lais, and Mrs. Roland (Marilyn) Weigelt, all of Green Bay; Mrs. William (Clarice) Johnson, Oconto; five sons, Leo Burbey Jr., Arcadia, Calif.; Robert, California; Gerald, Green Bay; Kenneth, Abrams, and Richard, at home; one sister, Mrs. Dreada Baumgartner, Appleton; 22 grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren. At John Crooks Funeral Home, Oconto, after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Bible vigil 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Mc Innis officiating. Burial in Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Military rites at the funeral home and cemetery.
