Ruby Loftiss Richerson, 95, was born in Shelby County, TN., on October 11, 1921, the only daughter of Victor D. and Florence Bascom Loftiss.
In 1940, she married Freeman Richerson, and the two of them worked together for years, running Holiday Inn Franchises. Later, Freeman became an inspector for the chain of hotels, which allowed them to travel extensively.
Ruby died in Memphis on June 10, 2017.
She is predeceased by the parents, four brothers and her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Richerson Poulton, of Atlanta, GA.
