Maxine Miller, 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Lexington Park care facility in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on December 1, 1924 near Lyndon, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Hallie McCreight Brecheisen. Maxine had lived all of her life near Lyndon until moving to Topeka in 2006. Maxine was a Homemaker most of her life but had drove a school bus for the Vassar Schools, hauled water and was an Avon Representative. She was a gradute of Washburn University,studying history. She was a member of the Vassar United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies at Atria Hearthstone in Topeka. On December 27, 1957 Maxine was married to Robert O. Miller in Vassar. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Bob on July 12, 2007; by her parents, Clarence and Hallie; her brother, Paul Brecheisen; and her sister, Edrie Peimann. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Terry Kramer (Mohammad El Khatatbeh) of Lawrence; her two step daughters, Dixie Dunlap (Dale) of Topeka and Peggy Miller (Steve Scott) of Lenexa; her brother, Charles Brecheisen of Topeka; three grandchildren, Jennifer Davin (Eric), Ben Kramer and Melissa Kramer; a step granddaughter, Jill Armstrong (Todd); three step great-grandchildren, Maggie Armstrong, Hillary Armstrong and Blake Armstrong; a great-great-granddaughter, Elia. Funeral services for Maxine will be at 10:00am on Monday, June 12 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vassar United Methodist Church, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
