Willis went into the Army in 1969 to serve his country.
He worked the first few years of his adult life on the Floyd Lynn Farms and
Factories until 1981. He then moved to Kentucky for 13 years and worked for
Kentucky Dept. of Transportation where he retired on disability in 1995, and
moved back to Michigan. In the 1970's Willis was a member of Bible Baptist
Church, later, First Baptist in McDowell, KY, Level Park Baptist in Battle Creek and
was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Albion. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, tend to his horses and the last 10 years enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Willis is survived by:
Wife- Doris Miller of Homer
Daughter- Melissa Fouts
Sons- Michael (Ericka) Miller
Matthew (Tammy) Miller
Grandchildren- Molly, Leeanne, Christopher, Lucas, Alexis, Ruthie and Carter
Siblings- Josephine Hoyt, Thomas (Minnie) Miller, Washington (Shirley) Miller,
and Barbara (Lance) Bodner all of Homer
Janice (Dalice) Williams of Litchfield
Willard (Mary) Miller of Jackson
Glenna (Tilden) Elkins of West Liberty, KY
Dallis (Linda) Miller of Murfreesboro, TN
and numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Kathleen Litton and
Charles Ray Miller
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, December 14, 2014 from
5:00 – 8:00PM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion,
Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 15, 2014
At 10:30AM at the First Baptist Church, 980 Haven Road, Albion
with Pastor Thomas Hollowood and Pastor Ronald Kinzel officiating.
Interment will be at 2:30 P.M. on Monday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
