Obituary of Frank P. Corle
Mr. Corle, 85, of RD 2, Eldorado Mobile Home Court, formerly of Woodbury, died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 1994, at Altoona Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mr. Corle retired as a stationary engineer from the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1968, after 44 years' service. He also retired as a farmer.
He was born July 4, 1908, in Woodbury, the son of Joseph C. and Amanda (Perrin) Corle.
He married Mary F. Brumbaugh on Jan. 25, 1930, in Martinsburg. She died April 5, 1994.
Surviving are six children: Robert G. and Carolyn E. Gates of Woodbury, Doris A. Kauffman of Roaring Spring, Phyllis Jean Corle-Hooper of Cottage Grove, Minn,, K. Wayne of New Enterprise and Gary L. of North Pole, Alaska; 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Maria Callihan of Martinsburg.
Mr. Corle was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren and attended Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at William G. Bigelow II Funeral Home.
CORLE -- Services for Frank P. Corle of RD 2, Eldorado Mobile home Court, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at William G. Bigelow II Funeral Home, by the Rev. Larry C. Graybill.
Interment at Martinsburg Fairview Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at William G. Biglow II Funeral Home.
Mr. Corle was preceded in death by a son, Frank Jr., two grandchildren: Robert Jr. and Philip R. Kauffman and a great-granddaughter, Chelsea Meck.
