Obituary of Frank Corle Jr.
Frank Corle Jr., 43, of 5000 Locust St., Roaring Spring, a well-known building contractor, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1979, in Woodbury Township, Bedford County.
Friends were received at the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, and services were held Sunday afternoon at Christ United Church of Christ, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. Bruce Hankee. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
He was born at Juniata, May 30, 1936, the son of Frank P. and Mary F. (Brumbaugh) Corle, and on April 9, 1955, in Virginia married Shirley L. Yingling.
Mr. Corle was a member of the Martinsburg VFW and of the Murray-Appleman Post, American Legion, Roaring Spring. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, four children, Mrs. Deborah K. Showalter of Martinsburg RD, Gale S. and Tonya L. at home and Mrs. Georgana Hetrick of Roaring Spring RD; his parents of Woodbury; two grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters, Robert of Pittsburg, Calif., Gary of Mather Air Force Base, Calif., Wayne of Woodbury, Mrs. Doris Kauffman of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Phyllis Hooper of Tonawanda, N. Y., and Mrs. Carolyn Gates of New Enterprise RD.
