Orville J. Torgerson, 53, a resident of rural Clearbrook died Monday at his home. He was born August 23, 1924 at Clearbrook to parents Henry and Effie Torgerson, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at First Lutheran Church. He was married to Arlyss Wagner August 27, 1949 at Berner. He was a lifelong resident of Clearbrook where he was engaged in farming.
Survivors include his wife, Arlyss; a daughter, Linda, Mrs. Bruce Peterson of Monticello; a son, Micheal of Clearbrook; his mother Mrs. Effie Torgerson of Clearbrook; a sister, Ina, Mrs. Fred Kavanaugh of Fergus Falls; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, at 1 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Clearbrook, Pastor Paul Knutson will officiate with burial in the Silver Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.
