Rita Cosie Aiona Branco, 91, of Hilo, she passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her residence. She was born on June 28, 1925, in Hilo; she was a Treasure Clerk for the County of Hawaii and also a member of the Panaewa Kumiai Association and Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau, Hawaii.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Wake service at 7 p.m. Friends may call on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; Celebration of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei are welcomed; burial at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2

She is survived by sons, Jack L. Branco, William “Billy Dave” (Phyllis) Branco and Greg Branco of Hilo, Martin “Marty” (Michelle) Branco of Wright City, Missouri; hanai son, Alan (Linda) Parker of Hilo; daughter, Marvellee (Calvin) Azevedo of Hilo; hanai daughter, Elizabeth “Girlie (Bill) Miller of Kaneohe; sister, Vivian Araujo of Hilo; sister in-laws, Margo Branco, Verna Mae Branco, Clara Aiona and Momi Aumua of Hilo; brothers in-law, Charlie (Lei) Branco of Volcano, Sam Bishaw of Hilo, LeRoy Edwards of Imperial Beach, California and Manfred (Joanne) Branco of Waimea, Hawaii; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; Numerous cousins nieces and nephews.
