Martin "Jackie" Branco, 89, of Hilo, he passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on January 13, 1923 in Laupahohoe Point, Hawaii to Anna Meyer Branco and David William Branco and raised in Hilo on a dairy farm. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, an Area Salesman for Standard Oil Company (Chervon), Cattle Rancher, Macnut Farmer, Bulldozer Operator and a member of the Keaau Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Panaewa Kumiai Association and Chevron Retirees Association.

Friends may call Monday, July 2, 2012 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Wake service at 7 p.m. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; Mass at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire; burial at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by wife, Rita Aiona Branco of Hilo; sons, Jack L. Branco and Greg Branco of Hilo, William "Billy Dave" (Phyllis) Branco of Waikoloa, Martin "Marty" (Michelle) Branco of Wright City, Minnesota; hanai sons, Alan (Linda) Parker of Hilo and Analu (Brenda) Elliott of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Marvellee (Calvin) Azevedo of Hilo; hanai daughters, Elizabeth "Girlie" (Bill) Miller of Kaneohe and Eileene Waardenburg of Oceanside, California; Brothers, Charlie (Lei) Branco of Volcano and Manfred (Joanne) Branco of Waimea; aunt, Elsie Stevens of Waipunalei; sisters in-law, Margo Bran, Verna Mae Branco, Clara Aiona, Vivian Araujo and Momi Aumua all from Hilo; brothers in-law, Sam Bishaw of Hilo and Leroy Edwards of Imperial Beach, California; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
