Charles Casper John of Northern Avenue, West Kittanning, Pa passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 1951 following a 3 year illness.
He was born on January 26, 1882 son of Adam and Eleanor (Lytle) John. He lived his entire life in this area.
He retired from the Joseph S. Finch Company at Schenley, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Lulu Gertrude (Smith) John, one son, Earl Adam Smith John of Kittanning, Pa; and three daughters, Mrs. Florence E. Layton of Kittanning, Pa; Mrs. Martha Higginson of West Kittanning, Pa and Mrs. Eunice S. P. Griffith of North Apollo, Pa.
He is also survived by 25 Grandchildren, two Great Grandchildren, brother Finley John; and four sisters, Mrs. A. Reed Bowser, Mrs. W. L. Smith, Mrs. A. C. Hayes and Mrs. W. H. Swigart, all of West Kittanning, Pa
Mr. John was a member of St. Luke's Reformed Church, North McKean Street, Kittanning, Pa.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 7, 1951 with his Pastor Rev. Howard F. Locke officiating. Burial will follow at West Glade Run Cemetery.
