ADAM JOHN DIES AT AGE OF 82 YEARS

Adam John, of West Kittanning, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. L. Smith, 319 Harrison street; West Kittanning, December 21, 1926 at 7:50 p.m. Mr. John has been in ill health during the past four years, but he was not in serious condition until four weeks ago when he suffered an attack of heart failure. The deceased was 82 years, 11 months and 14 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Eleanore Lytle February 21, 1871, who preceded him in death October 31, 1909, at her home in West Kittanning. He was the oldest living member of the great John family. To this union were born the following children: George John, deceased; Mrs. Reed Bowser, Reesedale, Pa.; Harry John, Mrs. Arthur Hays, and Charlie John of East Franklin township; Mrs. K. B. Wyant, Mrs. F. N. Zeigler, Mrs. W. L. Smith, Mrs. W.H. Swigart and F. W. John all of West Kittanning, also thirty-four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is survived by the following half-sisters; Mrs. William Toy, of Edinburg, Pa, and Miss Anna John of Kittanning. Funeral services will be held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. W. L. Smith, 319 Harrison street, at two o'clock Friday afternoon, December 24 and will be conducted by his pastor Rev. Bowling, D.D., assisted by Rev. E. B. Dwyer, both of Kittanning. The remains will be laid to rest in the family plot in the West Glade Run cemetery, East Franklin township.
