Wife of Angus Ferguson 1843-1924. Daughter of James H Carroll of GA & Nancy Harrison of SC. Angus Ferguson died in 1924 in the Confederate Home in Austin and is buried in the Confederate section of the Texas State Cemetery in Austin.
Rachel adopted out her children to John A C & Nancy Gorman Tippen around 1880 since she was unable to care for them.
However she continued to live with the Tippen family and her children.
She married Angus Ferguson in 1883 and they had a daughter Maud in 1885. Nancy Tippen is buried next to Rachel.
The 1900 census in West, Mclennan County Texas showed that Rachel had given birth to 7 children and all 7 were still alive.
