This was just about five years after her parents moved from the Pendleton District, Pickens County, South Carolina, USA to migrate west into the Persimmon Township of Rabun Country, Georgia. Caroline grew up in Rabun County, Georgia where she meet and married Alfred A KEENER on 18 Oct 1846.

This leaves one to only speculate as to what may have happened to this many individuals in this KEENER family. Was it the Civil War, or a house fire, a tornado, or some other tragedy? Or perhaps just the lack of locating them?
