Lula Bailey, 85, of Pella, Iowa passed away Monday December 26, 2016, at the Pella Regional Health Center. Lula Mae Easley was born March 31, 1931, in Macon County, Missouri. As a young woman, Lula worked in a candy store where she met her husband, Robert F. Bailey. Bob and Lula eventually moved to Pella to raise their family. Lula was a homemaker and her greatest joy was babysitting her grandchildren. She also loved all things nature and being outdoors. Lula was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Bailey; son, Robert R. Bailey; her parents Roy O. and Lorene (Epperson) Easley; and brother, John Easley. Lula is survived by her children: Kathy M. (the late Robert) Toom, Ronald W. (Zhanetta) Bailey, and Sandy S. (David) Suplee all of Pella; grandchildren: Brian Toom, Eric (Cathy) Toom, Justin (Jennifer) Bailey, Natalia Plahotnaya, Michael Suplee, Ryan Suplee; great-grandchildren: Leah, Camden and Tanner Toom, Justice and Jaycee Mae Bailey; and siblings: Ellen Tomich, Janet Miley, Linda Tripp and Howard Easley all of Missouri.
