Lumsey D. Edwards was born in the Wishart area of Robeson County, North Carolina about 1860, the fifth of six children of Eli Edwards and Jane Phillips Edwards. With his first wife, Florence Wilcox Edwards, he had two daughters, Mary Ann Edwards and Flowers Edwards Lamb. After the death of his first wife, he married Amanda Britt Edwards. His heritage was probably English. Lumsey’s burial place is probably in the Lamb Cemetery (where his first wife and daughters are buried) in Robeson County. Any help in finding his exact burial place and learning when and where he died would be appreciated. I hope one of his descendants will add his photo to this site.
