She is survived by three daughters, Freida Styron and husband, Ernest of Chesapeake, VA, Beulah Anna DeHart and husband, Cecil of Murfreesboro, TN and Helen Carol Shannon of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Zenovah Hooper of Salvo, NC Lovie Midgett and Olive Patrick of Rodanthe, NC, a sister-in law, Mae Fulcher of Salvo, NC; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Vallee of Virginia Beach, VA and a son, Myron Vance Midgett, Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC, two grandchildren, four brothers and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at Twiford Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Berry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1808 Fearing Ave., Elizabeth City, NC. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E.
