Glenn Peterson, 88, of Puyallup passed away January 17, 2017. Born in Minnewaukan, ND to Frank and Sophia Peterson. Moved to Tacoma at the age of 15 and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947. Married Nancy Anderson in 1950, they were married for 65 years. Glenn was a lifetime member of the Painters Union Local 1964, receiving a National award for his talents. After his retirement, Glenn and Nancy were able to travel, taking many cruises and driving trips, and dinners and playing cards with family and friends. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Brookdale Golf club where he had two holes in one. He especially enjoyed his time with family, his grandkids and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Nancy and sons Glenn Howard (Linda) and Gary Steven. He is survived by daughter Debbie (Glen) Zevenbergen, grandchildren, Scott, Rich, Brad, Matt, Krystle, Curtis and Bobby, and 8 great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of his life on Tuesday, January 31st at 1:00 at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup. Glenn was a great role model, a loving husband and father and known by all who met him for his sweet disposition.
