Bernadette A. "Bernie" Kreutzer, 55, La Crosse, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Rush County Memorial Hospital, La Crosse.

She was born Feb. 22, 1953, in Hays to Emmanuel J. and Amelia (Scheck) Lang.

She married Francis A. Kreutzer.

She was a homemaker and housekeeper in Hays for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Rick L. Kreutzer and wife, Victoria, Ellis; a daughter, Amanda Marie Kreutzer and friend, Jake P. Schulte, Hays; four sisters, Lillie Lang, Gillett, Wyo., Doris Kohlrus, Hays, Darlene Leiker, Council Grove, and Jeanette Jacobs, Topeka; a sister-in-law, Toni Lang, Hays; three grandchildren, Lawrence L. Magers, Tori M. Kreutzer and Rick D. Kreutzer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Francis E. Lang.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd Hays, KS 67601. A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Multiple Sclerosis Society Kansas Chapter or Masses in care of the mortuary.
