Services for Elvie Irene Kemp, 90, will be Monday at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Crittendon officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.

Born in Simon to Eugene Franklin and Sarah Josephine Chitwood Cartwright, she died at an Ardmore nursing facility. She married Venes Kemp Nov. 16, 1930 at Wilson. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Manda Minerva Spurgeon and Jewell Young; and brothers and sisters, Addie Jackson, John E. Philmon, Ella M. Odis, Walter, Jack and Harold Cartwright;

Mrs. Kemp had been a resident of Ardmore the past eight years, moving here from Whitesboro, Texas. She was retired from Glenn Oaks Industries at Marietta, where she was a seamstress.

Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Bower, Riverton, Wy.; granddaughters, Delores Hoffa, Arlington, Texas, Debra Lee, Mineral Wells, Texas, Shana Cassity, Riverton, Tina Kelle, Riverton; grandsons, Terry Spurgeon Sr. and his wife, Bonnie Espinosa, Mannsville, and Gerald Spurgeon, Hubbard, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Chapman, Velma, and Ida Auld, Rubottom.

Bearers are grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
