Services for Addie Swint Jackson were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Eastside Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Keith Miller, pastor.
Mrs. Jackson was born July 31, 1909, in Love County, the daughter of Frank and Josa Chitwood Cartwright, and died August 7, 1992, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.
A resident of Marietta most of her life, she was a homemaker and a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, A.J. Swint on May 5, 1968, and Charley Jackson on April 16, 1988; three brothers, Elzie Cartwright, Harold Cartwright, and Philman Cartwright; a sister, Ella Mae Cartwright; and two infant children.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Swint of Marietta and Robert Swint of Ardmore; two daughters, Olene Johnson of Rubottom and Voncele Bratcher of Thackerville; three brothers, Odis Cartwright of Rubottom, Walter Cartwright of Rush Springs, and Jack Cartwright of Morton, Texas; and three sisters, Irene Kemp of Whitesboro, Texas, Ida Auld of Rubottom, and Wanda Chapman of Velma; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Oswalt Cemetery. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
