Alex S. Zagorsky, 59 of Lorain, who served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, died at his residence following a short illness.

A lifelong resident of Lorain, he had served as an auxiliary police officer with the Lorain County Sheriff's Department. He also served as a captain of the Spartan Private Patrol of Lorain.

Survivors included his wife, Rosemary (nee Spando); son, Vincent Camera of Lorain, sisters Helen Hendry, Mary Stitak, Mrs. Harry (Virginia) Limes and Mrs. Brendon (Theresa) Lieb all of Lorain, and Mrs. Floyd (Irene) Ferner of Sheffield Village; and brothers Joseph and Floyd, both of Lorain.
