Mary's father, Maj. Thomas Bolling sent three Deaf children John Bolling, Thomas Bolling including Mary to the Braidwood Academy for the Deaf in Edinburgh, Scotland. The founder was Dr. Thomas Braidwood. John was first sent to Dr. Braidwood's care in 1771 then Thomas and Mary were sent in 1775, and stayed until some time circa 1798. Mary's brother, John died around three months later after arriving in U.S.A. in 1798. So noted that Mary's Deaf cousin, St. George Tucker Randolph attended at the same Academy. Polly died at niece, Rebecca Murray’s residence. (History will be updated some time later after a full research effort)
