Pearl Geister, age 85, of Lewiston, MI, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Medilodge of Hillman in Hillman, MI.
She was born May 12, 1931 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late George and Margarette (Marsh) Hook. Pearl graduated from Marlette High School with the Class of 1950. She married Virgil Geister on March 4, 1950 in Marlette, MI. Pearl was a member of the Decker United Methodist Church and attended Mio United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Pearl also enjoyed church league softball, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, trapping, working in her flower gardens and driving tractors on the farm.
She is survived by her husband, Virgil Geister of Lewiston (formerly of Decker); one son, Gary (Linda) Geister of Hillman, one daughter, Pam (Rick) Handrich of Fairview; one daughter-in-law, Alice (late Larry) Geister of Kingston; one sister, Violet Thick of Brown City; six grandchildren, Seth, Abram, Christopher, and Chadwick Geister, Austin and Shelby Handrich; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Larry Geister; and seven siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 27, 2017 at Shabbona United Methodist Church with Pastor Wayne Rhodes officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 1 – 8 PM on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette and 10 AM until time of the service Monday at the Shabbona United Methodist Church.
Burial will take place at Novesta Township Cemetery in Cass City, MI.
